    Description

Crating Fee Applies To This Item.

You will be contacted once your order is reviewed to discuss the crating fee. Crating fees generally run between $175 - $250 (this does not include truck freight charges). If an item has a crating fee, this usually indicates that it must ship via Truck Freight and can only be shipped to US addresses and select Canadian addresses.

We rarely have in stock what we would consider a grade "A" 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar hood. Grade "A" 1967 - 1968 hoods have no rust under the lip, nothing more than a light skim coat of filler found anywhere, no damage in the hinge areas from the hood flying up, no cuts to the under structure, it will line up well with the fenders and no evidence of being pushed in at the tip or dented from being slammed. Please remember to always check your hood after closing it to make sure it is secure and clean and lubricate the latch assembly periodically. Hoods are too large to ship via UPS so we generally ship them via forwardair.com, so please check their website as you will be driving to the terminal to pick it up, crating is included in the price, discount applies if you pick it up in person as no crate would be needed.

    Ford part # C7WY-16612-A.

Here is a helpful youtube video that shows you how to adjust your hood.

Keep in mind that when ordering multiple over sized items from us online that the shopping cart does not know how to best combine items to save you the most money for shipping purposes. We suggest cutting and pasting your order into an email so we can manually calculate shipping costs or just simply select "manually calculate shipping" when you go through checkout.

    Cons:
I spent over 800 dollars on a fiberglass hood that did not even come close to fitting after 3 weeks of trying to make it work I gave up, took my losses and and bought this hood. It fit good but had some body filler in spots that had to be removed anyone with even minor body working skills should be able to fix I just think it was a bit misleading being a grade A hood. That being said the hood was painted a long time ago and unless you inspected it with a magnet there is no way to have know about the body filler. This is just my advice save your money and don't buy the aftermarket crap just get the OE stuff

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...

WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...
