Seat track springs

The short springs are fine, I just can't find a good picture of where the long spring attaches to the seat frame or track. The front of the spring goes in the notch on the sliding piece but it's not clear where the back of the spring attaches. I tried a few spots but every time I moved the seat the spring came loose from this anchor point. Photos on line and even the shop manual don't clearly show how it attaches so I guess it's just my issue. I left it off since the seat slides fine without it plus it was missing anyway for nearly 28 years that I've owned the car (was reupholstered soon after I bought it so either it was missing then or they didn't reinstall it).

I tried not giving a "fit" rating but it required at least a 1. Fit might be fine, I just can't figure out where the long spring attaches.
