Used passenger side (right hand) complete door latch assembly with short tab for the 1967-68 Mercury Cougar XR7 or Ford Mustang with door ajar option. This unit goes inside your door and catches on the door striker assembly on the door jamb. This version has the extra bracket for attaching the door ajar switch.
These latches take 4 each of the rod clips, for attaching the various linkage rods. Used ones may be serviceable, but we suggest purchasing 4 or more if doing a full door service. Rod clips may be present, but due to age they may not be of any use. We suggest purchasing new ones, SKU 41928 . A total of 8 rod clips per door, 16 per vehicle total.

*Trivia - Late in the production run there was a version of this latch with a slightly shorter tab for the key lock rod.
