    Used speedometer grade A cable from a 1968 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with C4 automatic transmission. These are assembly line used and would have had a Ford number of C8ZF-17260-D or C8ZZ-17260-D.  The service replacement version of this cable was gray starting in the 1980's.  Includes the captured hold down bracket at the transmission. 1968 cables have a rubber ring at the transmission end to hold the hold down clamp. These measure about 63-1/16 inches long. The internal cable has been tested and is good, exterior is Grade A with no exhaust burns. Tags generally are not present on these. Look at the related items, you may need a firewall grommet or speedometer gear.
