    Used inner steering column tube for the any 1970 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with tilt steering column. This unit fits within the outer steering column and is specific to 1970. Overall length is 26-26-1/16" inches. Starting in 1970 with the addition of the key on the steering column, Ford also had a provision for locking out the transmission. The tab at the bottom is for a transmission lock out rod to the various transmissions. Plan on replacing the bushing if you plan to connect the lock out rod.
