Used bracket assembly for mounting the J hood and inflator cannister. Trunk plate or bracket for mounting the "J" bolt for the spare tire also included is the saddle bracket for mounting the tire inflator cannister. Mounts on the top of the trunk floor surface. 1969-70 Mercury Cougar convertibles and hard tops with space saver spare tires. Additionally, 1971-73 Mercury Cougar hard tops. We cut these out of the trunk floors, so there will be some metal preparation for the customer. Rare used part.
*Trivia - According to the Concours Mustang Forum, this bracket wasn't installed or available until mid March 1969 at the earliest. Collapsible spare tires were available, but did not have this bracket for storing the cannister. This bracket also gave more trunk space since the space saver spare tire was almost touching the quarter panel.
