Reproduction 1970 power steering pump. When fully assembled you will notice that this year P/S pump has an larger offset fitting for the pressure hose on the back of the reservoir. Most factory 1970 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang have this larger offset fitting. The only 1970 exception is the R or Q code 428 Cobra Jet engines, they used the older pump.
*Note we do not know if this pump was used on 1970 F code 302's. Do your investigation prior to purchase.
Does not include dipstick.
Manufacurers note: In place of the paper gaskets, it is recommended that you use gray atv sealant to seal the units when assembling. Also it is recommended to use Vaseline or a good grease on the "O" ring prior to assembly. The original paper gasket shows a high failure rate.
*Note - Your power steering pulley has to be removed and reinstalled on these pumps.
