New rubber bump stop used on the headlight housings of the 69 - 70 Cougar. The purpose of this bumper is to stop the eyelids from hitting bare metal when they open up. Slightly larger in diameter and the stem is a bit bigger. For installation, we recommend drilling the holes larger to 1/4 inch. They will fit with some lube and a tug on the tail from the reverse side. The rubber 'wedge, or cone' on the tail can be trimmed with a sharp blade so that it can be elongated and fit into the stock hole. Sold individually, need 2 or 4 depending upon which year for a complete conversion. Head diameter is about 0.600" and fits without interference with the corners or sides of the housings.
As the years go by, these bump stops will become heavily indented and may need replacing. Our supply of used bumpers has nearly dried up.
1970 has two per side, four per car.
1969 has one per side, two per car.
