This 1967-68 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang shield, was installed at the factory to protect the heater motor from being damaged when the Big Block 390-427-428's were being dropped in. As noted in the factory assembly manuals we sell, they were supposed to be removed once the motor was in place. Concours correct white striped heater hose for 1967 and early (prior to 2/1/1968) 1968 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Durable white striping with no mention of "Autolite" - this particular hose did not come with that marking. Correct for all V-8 engines without air conditioning. Good used original FORD part that has been closely inspected for rust on the roller shaft / stud and bent arms. 1967 & 1968 units will have new rollers included.
