This product is an NOS Part.
NOS items are OEM parts from Ford that have been sitting on shelves or in warehouses for years. These are often great examples of the orignal parts, but they may have scratches or other shelf wear.
However be aware that some NOS parts are "service replacement" parts. "Service replacement" parts are not exact replacements of the parts that were installed at the factory, but are what Ford considered as "good enough" and were used at Ford dealerships after the original supply of parts was exhausted.

New Old Stock neutral safety switch for the C-4 transmission installed in early 1967 Mercury Cougar and 1965-67 Ford Mustangs. Found on cars before build date 12/15/1966. This neutral safety switch is identified by having two plugs that plug into the single 4 pin plug, coming from the firewall. The later neutral safety switch with a single 4 pin plug will also work fine.
Look for a transmission code of W on your door data plate. If your car has a code U, your original transmission was an C-6 and uses a different neutral safety switch. Service replacement part that looks a little different than an assembly like version.
