Reproduction multi-year power steering pump, 1967-69, and 1971-73, excludes 1970. When fully assembled you will notice that this year P/S pump has a centered fitting for the pressure hose on the back of the reservoir. Most factory 1970 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang have an offset fitting. The only 1970 exception is the R or Q code 428 Cobra Jet engines, they used this pump.
Does not include dipstick.
Manufacurers note: In place of the paper gaskets, it is recommended that you use gray atv sealant to seal the units when assembling. Also it is recommended to use Vaseline or a good grease on the "O" ring prior to assembly. The original paper gasket shows a high failure rate.
*Note - Your power steering pulley has to be removed and reinstalled on these pumps.
