    These aluminum ninety degree brackets are what fastens the XR7 chrome boot moulding to the quarter panels. The beltline weatherstip also attaches to them. These parts are only used on the XR7 convertible as the standard convertible boot trim ends at the rear edge of the quarter glass

    I am unsure how the trim piece secures to this mounting bracket. I have just received new trim pieces from Westcoast Cougar, but i did not remove this piece from the car and am unsure how they secure.
