Repair your own idler / tensioner with our kit which includes a dust cover and is for use on all 289, 302, or 390 engines. After 50 years of heat and use, many idler adjusting bearings have seized or are on their way out. This is your answer! This part requires a press to install it. Bearing surface is 1-7/16", bearing diameter is 1.180". We have had a machinist shorten the shaft on these bearings so that they are easily pressed into the cast pulley brackets that use the short shaft. C5AA-2A898-B is often visible on the end of the shaft for the adjustable pulleys for 289 / 390 engines.
